What is powering the Ford F-150?

As weā€™ve mentioned previously, one of the biggest things that has come to this fully redesigned truck is the hybrid powertrain, otherwise known as the PowerBoost V6 hybrid. This configuration comes with an optional turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 that pairs up with a lithium-ion battery pack and a 47 horsepower electric motors. Ford has come out to say that this hybrid powertrain will produce more torque and horsepower than any of the competition in the segment. However, even if you donā€™t choose this engine, youā€™ll still be getting the 3.3-liter V6 as standard, which is paired up with a ten-speed automatic transmission. A few of the other available engines include a turbocharged 2.7-liter V6, a 5.0-liter V8, a 3.5-liter turbocharged V6, and a turbodiesel 3.0-liter V6. There is something for everyone with the Ford F-150.

What are some of the design features?

This redesigned truck has been given all of the benefits that a modern truck should have. Not only has it been created with a high-strength frame, but youā€™ll be able to choose between 11 different grille options, unique tailgate appliques, and great upgrades to the LED headlamps and taillamps. Even the interior has seen some huge changes, especially when it comes to the enhanced materials, the additional storage, and even new color choices so you can better get a truck that is suited to your personality. We also want to talk about the 12-inch center screen, which allows you to use it in split screen to do a few things at once. Thereā€™s also an available 12-inch digital gauge cluster for information on-demand.

What does the F-150 have for safety?

Safety is a key component of this truck, which means you can expect to find many standard and available features throughout. Some of the top features include pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, a rearview camera with dynamic hitch assist, pre-collision assist, and automatic high-beam headlamps. Overall, the F-150 has added in ten new driver-assist features, and even the driver-facing camera works hard to track how the driver is functioning and if they are getting tired. You might also be interested in intersection assist, along with Active Park Assist 2.0.
