Top Spots To Recreate In The Grand Valley

Are you looking for a great place to recreate with your family, or by yourself? Great news!  We have a couple of recommendations on where you can take a beautiful Sunday drive, or get out and hike around the Grand Valley.

Rifle Mountain Park:

Whether you’re looking for a beautiful day drive, a nice day hike or you’re an avid rock climber, Rifle Mountain Park is a great place to spend the day.
Rifle Mountian Park is located at 13885 County RD 217 outside of Rifle, Colorado, just north of the Rifle Falls Fish Hatchery. There 250 bolted climbing routes and a few hiking trails.

Colorado National Monument:

Hike, bike or drive through Colorado’s National Monument located near Grand Junction. The Colorado National Monument is a 31-square mile section of the National Park System. There are canyons, sandstone towers and breathtaking red rock expanses that you can explore by yourself or with your family.

The Battlement Mesa Area:

The Battlement Mesa area is located south of Interstate 70 and can be easily accessed from Rifle, Colorado and Parachute, Colorado. The key attractions include the Battlement Reservoirs, Cache Creek and Mamm Peaks.

The Battlements are great for mountain biking, jeeping, ATV’s, horse rides, day hikes as well as backpacking.
